You never want to confuse the purpose or motivation with the bi-product or the fruit, there’s cause and affect. The motivation to giving glory to God is that He’s glorious. The heart behind giving God praise is that He’s wonderful beyond description, to celebrate His goodness and greatness. Any time I shift praising and glorifying God from the purpose (because He’s worthy) to the fruit or the affect (because I want to get people saved) then I’m not praising God anymore. Instead, I’m manipulating spiritual truths for a good Biblical outcome.
